Special Tree INPRO Experience

INPRO is a company that provides work opportunities for the clients at  Special Tree who have head injuries from car accidents. I've been working through Special Tree for the past few years and it has taught me a lot and given me some great experiences. I started working through Special Tree after I graduated form highschool. I worked during the summer washing company vehicles and other cars of the employees. During the first fall I cleaned exercise equipment and did some office work like copying and shredding papers. This last summer I worked in the community cleaning the inside of churches and I did landscasping on the outside of them.Through all the work I've done I gained a lot of experience in working with other people as a team. The people I've worked with have all been really nice and over the past few years I even managed to make some new friends and I'm probably still going to in the future. I'm currently working on a blog which is geared towards my major in college which is graphic designing. Basically what what I do is I write articles like the one I'm doing now and then I design the backround and the font of each one I write about. I can also add pictures to make each article unique from one another. I also designed the complete layout of the blogging site it self. I really enjoy what I do and I look forward to doing more of it.

Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings are a phenomenal hockey team and my favorite. They have made play off spots for the last 20 years and have won the Stanley Cup 11 times. The most recent being in 2008. It's probably hard to even think about how much of a srtain the players go through each season, yet some how the keep on staying in my opinion one of the top teams in our division. Over the past couple of years we've had a couple players retire and some really good new guys coming in. For an example you could look at our goalies. Chris Osgood just retired with 400 wins to go in his hall of fame status and now we got Jimmy Howard who is starting to build hall of fame status. The 2011 season has just started up and the Red Wings have played 4 games and they have won all 4. There off to a really good start and I really hope it can stay that way.                                                                     Posted by

Auto No Fault

There currently has been an issue in the state of Michigan and its Auto No Fault law. Legislators are trying to change or limit the amount of help victims of automobile accidents need in order to recover form their injuries. This could potentially affect thousands of people in Michigan who have been in car accidents including me. I was in a car accident 9 years ago, and since then I have made tremendous progress thanks to the doctors and the rehabilitation that has been provided to me. There are still other things I want to accomplish, but it may be a lot harder to do so if there is a limit put on the amount of help I recieve. Aside from me there are thousands of other people who will be affected if this law changes. Plenty of who'm will need the help much more than I do. Thanks to the doctors and thereapists I was able to get my life back I just hope that other people will get the same chance  as I did.                                          DLMetalRock

Special Tree Spotlight: Marchie

Marchie is a Special Tree employee. She’s been working at Special Tree a little over 10 yrs. now. Marchie likes the nice; warm co-workers and the clients at Special Tree. She likes taking the clients out on outings.

Her favorite hobbies are: doing hair, exercising, walking, reading and dancing. Marchie’s favorite food is seafood. She likes any color to be her favorite.

HGTV (Home Garden Television Network), Dancing with the Stars, Housewives of New Jersey and Millionaire Match Maker are her favorite television shows. Comedies, dramas, love stories, and TCM (Turner Classic Movies) are Marchie’s favorite movies to watch.

World Wresting Entertainment

The WWE is a global empire with billions of  fans around the world. There are a few fans of the wwe at Special Tree including me, and the one guy I like the best is The Undertaker. He's a legend in wrestling and even though he may be getting ready to retire he will always be the best to me. That being said he has wrestled for more than two decades and time has seemed to taken it's toll on his body. He hasn't wrestled much in the last year due to injuries. In the last year he has broken his orbital bone and torn a rotator cuff on his shoulder. Both of these injuries were related to wresting. At last years wrestlmania 27 he collapsed after the match and was carried out on a stretcher. Im not sure if that was part of storyline or if it was in fact real. He currently is on a break like every year  after wrestlemania. From what I've heard he will be back for the  next years wrestlmania. When ever he does return I'll definitely be watching.

Special Tree Spotlight: Elizabeth

                                                             Hi, my name Elizabeth. I’m 27 yr. old. I was born on Sunday, September 2^nd 1984. Born and raised down in Lucas County, Toledo, Ohio on the eastside of the state. I’m the oldest.  I have one brother and one sister.  My brother is the middle child and my sister is the youngest. My brother just turned 26 in the month of August 2011 and my sister turned 23 in March 2011.  They are also born and raised in Toledo, Ohio Lucas, County on the eastside area.

                                                                I love to take dance classes. I prefer tap and jazz. I’ve taken dance classes for at about 4-5 yrs. If I would choose to do it again, I would.  I don’t think I would let dancing go no matter how old I am.             

                                                                Also with my favorite  animal is a kitty-cat.  I love kittens, I love cats.  I can’t and wouldn’t get enough of them.  Don’t get me wrong, I like/ love other animals also; but mine are the kittens and cats.

                                                                Pink, purple and yellow will always be my favorite colors. Especially pink. I’ve liked and loved these colors ever since I was in pre-school. I can’t get rid of them.  Including pink.

                                                                The high school I went too is, East Detroit High School for at least about 5-6 yrs.  I repeated the 10^th grade twice.  The first yr. of 10^th grade I was doing my school and homework like I was supposed to. Then I went down hill and a lot/ most of my school and homework but I only turned in some of it in and either forgot to turn the rest of it in and/ or I just didn’t feel like turning any of it in.   

                                                                I’ve  always  hated ;  Math,  Science,  English,  History,  Reading  etc. I’ve liked Spelling ever since I found out what it was like, what the reasons were for it and what the consequences were for Spelling.  I have not done any special events lately.  Except working and working on my GED.  Other  than  that,  really  nothing  to  much  happening  for  my  special  events.

                                                                La  Choy  (chop suey)  has  been  my  favorite  food  most  of  my  life.  The taste, the flavor, and the way it’s made.  It  was  something  new  for  me  to  try  when  I  first  saw  it  and  wanted  to  try  it  out.  I  don’t  think  I’ll  stop  eating  chop suey  at  all.

                                                                My favorite celebrity and music is Britney Spears and hip-hop,

R & b and rap.  Britney Spears is a good singer, dancer and actor.  She  is  a  good,  normal  and  regular  human  being  just  like  the  rest  of  us  are.  Britney  Spears  does  mess  up  in  life,  but  she  fixes  them  and  learns  from  her  mistakes.

                                                                Thursday,  July 28^th, 2011,  I  went  to  the  Britney  Spears/  Niki  Minaji  concert.  It was AWESOME!!!  If  I  would  go  back  to  the  Britney  Spears /  Niki  Minaji  again,  I  would  go  back  in  a  heart beat.  For  all  those  out  there  who  like  Britney  Spears /  Niki  Minaji,  I  recommend  that  you’ll  go.  Its fun, nice, enjoyable, entertaining and plus more.

                                                                OHIO STATE BUCKEYES ROCK!!!!!

                                                I’m from Toledo, Ohio.  Ohio  State  Buckeyes  will  always  be  my  favorite  # 1  team  non-stop  no  matter  if  they  win  and  or  lose.

                                                                My  whole  entire  family  (mom’s  and  dad’s  side  of  the  family)  including  my  mom  and  my  dad  are  from  Toledo,  Ohio  Lucas,  County  area.  My  mom and  her  side  of  the  family  all love  to watch  football.  Doesn’t matter what teams they area.  Ohio  State  Buckeyes  and  Miami  Dolphins  are  the  2  main  teams  they  love  to  watch.

                                                                Natalie and Ken.

                                                Natalie  was  my  speech  therapist  and  Ken  was  my  psychologist.  They  were  always  good  to  me,  good  helping  me  out  on  my  work  that  I  needed  to  do,  help  with  and  be  done.  Natalie  and  Ken,  are  good  funny,  enjoyable,  intelligent  and  exciting  people  to  be  around  with  and  do  work  with  always.

                                                                Blogging  is  my  favorite  activity,  along  with  writing  and  spelling.  I  love  to  write,  type,  brainstorm,  take  notes  and  so  fourth. 

                                                                I  love  to  be  creative  with  the  blogging  and  the  computer.  It’s  one  of  my  favorite  specialties  along  with  dancing.  You  get  to  meet  new,  unique,  special  people  at  the  Special  Tree  Program.  What they like and what they like to do.  What  they’re  about  and  chit-chat  with  them  until  the  time  has  ended  and/or  next  time.

                                                                There are all different,  unique  and  special  people  out  there  and  here  in  this  world;  no  matter  where  you  meet  them  at.
